As with everything in this trip our budget has multiple areas to consider. Overlanding is not going to be the cheapest option compared to backpacking but as we will be camping and having cooking facilities it helps bring our costs down. We have a budget in our heads that we don’t really want to exceed of $60,000 AUD, the car price is an added extra but hopefully, it should be a sell-able asset when we finish the trip (or a become a long term member of the family).
